Camera info ~ This camera is a half frame camera, which means what it says, it only shoots half of a frame of film, so when you put a roll of 36 in it, you get 72 pictures. Neat eh? The camera itself is cute looking but a bit hokey, plastic with no settings other than a flash on/off on the dial around the lens, and the dial is as stiff as a stiff thing on a stiff day. I loaded it with a roll of Kodak Gold 400 and took it everywhere with me but it still took a fair few weeks to finish the frame. I shot the film with the making of dyptichs (2 pictures taken together to complement each other) in mind. Iβll be posting some of them on Fridays.
This weeks diptych series starts with a few I took when on my visit to Guisborough Priory which you can read about HERE if you want the history.
This phonebox is outside the Kirkleatham Museum next door to the Owl Sanctuary.
The next ones are from walking around Wardley.
and I’ll finish off with a couple of pictures from home.
So that’s it for this week, but fear not dear reader, there’s more to come so stay tooned!

Bliddy nora! Bomba nonce might mean a Puerto Rican pedophile, according to the Internetz. Or it might just sound neat.
Love the phone booth and oak tree pics!

Porta potties? I didn’t know they were that, seems a strange place to have them.

That blue thing next to it seems to be one. It is random, isn’t it?

Good luck. I avoid them whenever possible. Construction guys tend to have crude n childish artistic skills. At best

They worked well. Especially the phone box and the grandkids.
We know what a Nonce is, so I’m guessing Bomba is a bloke’s nickname.
Best wishes, Pete.

You’ve got a tuxedo cat! π
I was just at Kentuck Knob last weekend – it’s a house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. He built it for the Hagans in the 1950s, a family that made their fortune selling Hagan ice cream.
So anyway, there was a red phone booth almost exactly like the one you photographed on the grounds and for the life of me, I couldn’t figure out why. Both Wright and the Hagans were Americans.
Turns out the current owner of the house (they don’t live there, it’s basically now a museume where the give tours) is British, and an art collector. We were so tickled to see a British phone box!

Oh, and I thought it was a pacifist message, like bomba not once, well. All your dyptichs are nonce, ehem, they are nice : ) I like how the colors have harmony between the two sides.
